Thank you :D Oh now that you say The Secret Garden (love, love, love that movie) she does indeed look a bit like someone from that movie.

Looking at your work shows me just how much I need to speed up my process. . .   every day I come on you have something new up, it's both inspiring and intimidating to be honest.  Please continue to be this fast though. . .   it's a goal for some of us to strive towards.  Curiously, what specifically were you studying in this piece though?  I'm interested to know when you feel you've gotten something out of a study, and what it is you learned from your study.

Oh haha thank you :D I've been very lazy for the past few months (due to looking after little one) but now getting back on track..and I hope it stays that way!
To answer your question, I was styding light and colors, how dark shadows are.

Thank you so much for sharing the focus of the study,  I find trying to see what the artist was aiming to learn from a given study to be quite useful in my own works.  If I understand why a shadow is warmer or cooler in another artist painting then it helps when planning a shadow in one of my own works later on.

See ya soon, have a piece to work on myself that I will hopefully get to share in a few weeks with everyone.
